URGENT!! Boycotting Other Muslims ?? By Shaykh Muqbil ibn Haadee al-Waadi'ee

The Regulations of Hajr - Part 1

Shaykh Muqbil ibn Haadee al-Waadi'ee

Reference: Al Ajwibah As sadeedah fee Fataawa Al ‘Aqeedah. P.167. By Shaykh Abu ‘Abdur Rahmaan, Muqbil ibn Haadee Al Waade’ee رحمه الله p.68.

Category: Methodology

What are the regulations of Hajr (boycotting) ?

All praise is due to Allaah, lord of the worlds, and may the peace and blessing of Allaah be upon the messenger of Allaah, his family and companions, and I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is his slave and messenger, to proceed:

Hajr: Boycotting a Muslim is considered to be from the major sins, the messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه و سلم said: “It is not permissible for a Muslim to boycott his brother for more than three days.” Yes, and he also said: “Indeed Allaah, ta’aala forgives all of his creation except a mushrik (polytheist), or a mushaahin (one who hates or has enmity with his brother), and He says “Wait for these two until they resolve their differences.”

So the boycotting of a Muslim is considered to be from amongst the major sins, and it happened that the messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه و سلم boycotted the three companions who stayed behind and didn’t join in the war of Tabook for about fifty days. Likewise he boycotted his wives when they demanded that he provide them with more than what he was able, he boycotted them for a month. After that Allaah ordered him to ask them to choose between either staying with him or separation; {O Prophet! Say to your wives: “If you desire the life of this world, and its glitter, then come! I will make a provision for you and set you free in a beautiful manner (divorce) But if you desire Allaah and His Messenger, and the home of the Hereafter, then verily, Allaah has prepared for those who do good (Muhsinaat) amongst you an enormous reward.} [Al Ahzaab: 28-29]

All of them chose to stay with him, and he started with ‘Aaisha saying “I advise you to consult your parents.” She said: “About what?” So he read to her these verses, she said: “I will not consult anyone, indeed I want Allaah and his messenger, but I ask you not to tell any of your other wives what you told me.” So he said: “Not one of them will ask me except that I will tell her, for verily Allaah has not sent me to distress [people], rather He only sent me as a teacher.” Narrated by Muslim.

And he also boycotted a man who covered himself with a scented oil (perfume) called khalooq. So the messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه و سلم practiced boycotting very rarely, so it is not befitting that you boycott whoever you see has a few mistakes, for the messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه و سلم said: “The rights of the Muslim upon the Muslim are five: …” and he mentioned from amongst them: “when you meet him, then greet him [with salaam]” And boycotting during these times…

Advice to the Salafi brothers all over the world! ( from shaykh Rabee ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee)

Advice to the Salafi brothers in Egypt and other countries

Shaykh Rabee ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee

Reference: http://www.rabee.net/show_des.aspx?pid=3&id=267

In the name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh, thereafter:

Indeed I advise you to have Taqwa of Allaah, to be sincere to Allah both in speech and action and that you hold onto the Book and the Sunnah.

Also, maintain noble manners when you are calling to Allaah. From amongst these manners: truthfulness, patience, humbleness, gentleness and kindness

“Indeed Allaah is kind and loves kindness in everything”

Also (from these manners is) wisdom and knowledge. So by maintaining these noble manners, the people will accept your Da’wah and will respect it.

After this I advise you with brotherhood for the sake of Allah, and that you remain in contact with each other and partake in visiting in each other for the sake of Allah. (Both of these matters) will establish the pillars of brotherhood between you. I also warn you from differing and splitting and the causes that lead to this. The Shayateen amongst the humans and Jinn become pleased with this and your Da’wah weakens and it is afflicted with failure.

I would also like to point out that some people claim for themselves tazkiyaat (recommendations) from me and sometimes they will spread this amongst the people, however I don’t remember anything from this matter. Rather, that which is considered as a recommendation for a person is his own actions.

So it is upon every Muslim to purify himself with beneficial knowledge, righteous action and noble Islamic manners.

May Allah Guide you, direct you to the right way and bring you hearts together.

You brother for the sake of Allah,
Rabee’ Bin Haadee ‘Umayr Al-Madkhalee.

Imam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali
From "The Evil Of Craving For Wealth And Status"

Know that craving after status and position inevitably causes great harm before its attainment due to the striving necessary to attain it, and also afterwards due to the person's strong desire to hold onto it which produces injustice, haughtiness and other evils.

Aboo Bakr al-Aajurree, who was one of the wise scholars and teachers at the start of the fourth century, wrote a treatise about the manners and the sentiments of the scholars and it is one of the best works on this topic. one who studies it will know from it the way of the scholars of the Salaf, and will know the innovated ways contrary to their way. So he describes the evil scholar at length, from this description is that:

'He has become infatuated with love of this world, and with praise, honour and position with the people of this world. He uses knowledge as an adornment just as a beautiful woman adorns herself with jewelry for this world, but he does not adorn his knowledge with action upon it."

He then mentions a lengthy speech and then says,

"So these characteristics and their like predominate in the heart of one who does not benefit from knowledge, so whilst he carries these attributes his soul will come to have love of status and position - so that he loves to sit with kings and the sons of this world. Then he loves to share in their opulent lifestyle, sharing their lavish attire, their comfortable transport, servants, fine clothing, delicate bedding and delicious food. He will love that people throng to his door, that his saying is listened to, and that he is obeyed - and he can only attain the latter by becoming a judge (qaadee) - so he seeks to become one. Then he is unable to attain it except at the expense of his Religion, so he debases himself to the rulers and their helpers, serving them himself and giving them his wealth as a tribute. He remains silent when he sees their evil actions after entering their palaces and homes. Then on top of this he may praise their evil actions and declare them good due to some false interpretation in order to raise his position with them. So when he has accustomed himself to doing this over a long period of time and falsehood has taken root in him - then they appoint him to the position of judge (qaadee) and in so doing slaughter him without a knife." [Alluding to the saying of the Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, "He who is appointed as a judge has been killed without a knife" Reported by Ahmad, Aboo Daawood (transl. 3/1013/ no.3564) and at-Tirmidhee who declared it hasan. I say: its isnaad is saheeh.]

Then they have bestowed such a favour upon him that he is obliged and has to show his gratitude to them - so he takes great pains to make sure that he does not anger them and cause them to remove him from his position. But he has no concern about whether he angers his Lord, the Most High, so he misappropriates the wealth of orphans, widows, the poor and the needy, and wealth bequested as waqf (religious endowment) for those fighting Jihaad and the nobles of Makkah and al-Madeenah, and wealth which is supposed to be of benefit to all the Muslims - but instead he uses it to satisfy his clerk, chamberlain and servant. So he eats that which is haraam and feeds with that which is haraam and increases that which is a proof against him. So woe to the one whose knowledge causes him to have these characteristics. Indeed this is the knowledge which the Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, sought refuge from and ordered us to seek refuge from. This is the knowledge which the Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, mentioned, saying,

"Those amongst the people receiving the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection is the scholar who is not given benefit through his knowledge by Allaah."

[Reported by Ibn 'Abdul-Barr in Jaami' Bayaanil-`Ilm (1/162) and al-Aajurree (pp.93-94) and at-Tabaraanee in as-Sagheer (1/1831) and others and its chain of narration is very weak since it contains 'Uthmaan ibn Miqsarn al-Burree who was accused of lying and fabrication. It is however reported as being the saying of Abud-Dardaa only, with an authentic chain of narration. It is reported by ad-Daarimee (1/82) and others.]

He, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, used to say, Allaahumma innee a`oodhubika minal arba`i, min `ilmin laa yanfa`u, wa min qalbin laa yakhsha`u, wa min nafsin laa tashba`u, wa min du`aain laa yusma`u

"O Allaah, I seek Your refuge from knowledge which does not benefit; from a heart which does not fear; from a soul which is never satisfied; and from a supplication which is not heard." [Reported by Ahmad, Aboo Daawood (transl. vol. 1/p.401/no. 1543) and others, all with the wording, "O Allaah I seek Your refuge from four: from knowledge which does not benefit…" The hadeeth was declared saheeh by al-Haakim and adh-Dhahabee agreed, and it has supports from a number of the Companions.]

And he, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, used to say, Allahumma innee as'aluka `ilman naafi`an, wa a`oodhubika min `ilmin laa yanfa`u

"O Allaah, I ask you for beneficial knowledge, and I seek Your refuge from knowledge which does not benefit." [Reported with this wording by Al-Aajurree (p.134) and Ibn Hibbaan (no.2426). It is also reported by Ibn Maajah (no.3483) and Ibn `Abdul-Barr (1/162) with the wording, "Ask Allaah for beneficial knowledge and seek Allaah's refuge from knowledge which does not benefit." Its chain of narration is hasan (good) and there is a similar narration from Umm Salamah reported by Ibn Maajah and others.]

That was said by Imaam Aboo Bakr Al-Aajurree, Rahimahullaah ta`aala, who lived at the end of the fourth century (he died, in the year 360H) and corruption increased and multiplied greatly since his time - and there is no might and no strength except by Allaah's will.

Muhammad ibn Waasi' (rahima-hullaah) used to say:
"If sins had an odour then nobody would be able to sit with me."

Advice to those who visit chat rooms

There are now a large number of chat sites and there are many people who participate in them. What advice can you give to those who visit chat rooms, whether to read or to join in?

Praise be to Allaah.

Yes, there are indeed many chat rooms on the Internet, and many people who visit them. There follow some points of advice for those who read them and those who write on them.

- Sincerity towards Allaah. Every person will die and what he writes during his lifetime will remain. So strive not to write anything except things that you will be pleased to see on the Day of Resurrection. There is no good in doing anything that is not intended to please Allaah.

- The ordinary person who is not a specialist has to choose sites that are sound and useful, and avoid the sites of the followers of bid’ah and bad sites.

- Boycott sites of the people of bid’ah and sites which mostly contain bid’ah, because participation and discussion are the lifeblood of these sites. It is not permissible to promote the people of bid’ah; we must cause their names to die out and strive to prevent them from becoming well known. The reaction of some of the Ahl al-Sunnah may have the opposite effect. It is not permissible for the ordinary Muslim to read the sites of the people of bid’ah with the motive of just looking or of discussing without knowledge. He should leave it to those who are qualified to deal with it. There is nothing wrong with his telling the scholars about what the innovators are saying, then transmitting the scholars’ response.

- Reminding the owners of “mixed-up” sites (sites which indicate confusion between Sunnah and bid’ah) of Allaah and of the fact that it is not permissible for them to allow innovators or authors of false opinions to spread those views through their site.

- The seekers of knowledge (students of sharee’ah) have to support their brothers who have taken on the task of refuting the people of bid’ah who rely on their large numbers; if one of them writes something, ten others applaud and praise him, and condemn the one whose view he is refuting.

- It is important for shaykhs, writers and well-known people to take part in these groups.

- It is not essential for the scholar to join in directly. That may take up too much of his time. It is sufficient for some of his trustworthy students to convey information from him.

- Beware of wasting time. Many students have let these chat rooms take up too much of their time. It is not necessary to refute every single bleat and every single foolish notion. It is sufficient to note the advice of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Part of a man's being a good Muslim is that he should leave alone that which does not concern him.”

- Being aware of the importance of spending time in teaching the Muslims and that calling them to Allaah takes priority over refuting this one and that one. Let us leave these refutations for situations where it is essential, such as when one of the people of bid’ah stirs up doubts or says something false and no one else is refuting him – in that case someone has to refute him.

- The person who enters chat rooms has to realize that he is dealing with a large number of unknown persons and that the margin of trust when dealing with people who are not using their real names is very thin indeed.

- We advise the enthusiastic youth not to indulge in matters of which they do not have knowledge. Regarding the matter of giving fatwas without knowledge, it is sufficient for us to note the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning)

“And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied against Allaah (i.e. attributed to Him sons, partners) their faces will be black” [al-Zumar 39:60]

- Adhere to the etiquette dictated by Islam and restrain the tongue (and the pen or writing is regarded as one of the two “tongues”). Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And say to My slaves (i.e. the true believers of Islamic Monotheism) that they should (only) say those words that are the best. (Because) Shaytaan (Satan) verily, sows a state of conflict and disagreements among them. Surely, Shaytaan (Satan) is to man a plain enemy” [al-Israa’ 17:53]

And Allaah is the Source of strength.

Khadija bint Khuwaylid

she was born in the year 68 BH to Khuwaylid b. Asad and Faatimah bint. Za'idah. She was raised on praiseworthy characteristics and was well-known and praised for her intelligence, chastity, and prudence until people began to call her "Taahirah" or "the pure one." She was a successful businesswoman, who achieved her wealth through hiring men to take it on merchant trips to sell. She was first married to Abu Halah b. Zurarah of the Banu Tameem and was the mother of two sons, one of whom died at the Battle of al-Jamal, fighting on the side of 'Ali.

It reached her that the Messenger of Allah(S) was known for his truthfulness and generosity. One day Abu Taalib said to his nephew: "I am a man without wealth, and times have become tough on us, and these disagreeable years harass us, and we have neither material possessions nor merchandise, and this [woman] Khadeejah sends men from among your people to do business with her wealth and they gain profit. So if she comes to you, convey to her your honesty.

So Khadeejah sent for him and proposed that he go with her wealth to ash-Sham as a merchant. In return, she would give him more than she used to give to the other traders. She would also send with him a young servant of her's called Maysarah. So the Messenger of Allah(S) accepted that and went with her wealth and her servant Maysarah until he reached the foot of ash-Shaam. So he sold his commodoties which he had left with and bought what he desired [to buy on Khadeejah's behalf. Then he, along with Maysarah, embarked to Makkah with a caravan. So his trading gained twice as much profit as what was usually gained. So the Messenger(S)'s wages were double what was usually given.

And when the servant Maysarah told her about what he saw of the character of Muhammad(S), she sent for him(S). Then she said to him: "O cousin, indeed, I like in you our blood relationship and the undoubted nobility of your descent, your trustworthiness and sincerity, as well as the integrity of your character and the truthfulness of your speech." Then she suggested marriage to him. So the Messenger of Allah(S) mentioned that to his uncles. So Hamzah(R) went with him until they called upon Khuwaylid, who said: "He is the stallion whose nose cannot be touched (i.e. He is strong)." So the Messenger of Allah(S) married her and gave her 20 camels as a dowry. She was 40 years old when she married the Messenger of Allah(S), and he was 25 years old. She was the first lady that the Messenger of Allah(S) married, and he never married anyone else as long as he was married to her until she died. She gave him 6 children: Al-Qaasim, 'Abdullah, Zaynab(R), Ruqayyah(R), Um Kulthoom(R), and Faatimah(R).

And when the Prophet(S) received prophethood, she was the first to believe in Allah and His Messenger Muhammad(S); she was the first to believe in what His Lord sent him and strengthened him in his affairs. So the Prophet(S) used not to hear anything from the polytheists that he hated to hear and of disbelief in him except that Allah comforted him through Khadeejah(R), who stood by him and the da'wah and she used to lessen his grief over what he used see from his people.

Narrated 'Aisha(R), the mother of the faithful believers: The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright day light, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadeejah(R) to take his food like-wise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read."

The Prophet added, "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more." He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, "I do not know how to read." Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, "I do not know how to read." Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, {Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists), has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous.} Then Allah's Messenger(S) returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadeejah(R) bint Khuwaylid and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over, and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, "I fear that something may happen to me." Khadeejah(R) replied, "Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your Kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones."

Khadeejah(R) then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqah b. Nawfal b. Asad b. 'Abdul-'Uzza, who, during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadeejah(R) said to Waraqah, "Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!" Waraqah asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" Allah's Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqah said, "This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Apostle asked, "Will they drive me out?" Waraqah replied in the affirmative and said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died, and the Divine Revelation was also paused for a while.

The Messenger of Allah(S) and Khadeejah(R) continued to pray in secret as long as Allah willed. 'Afeef Al-Kanadee reported: "I came to Makkah during the Days of Ignorance, and I wanted to sell on behalf of my family some clothes and perfume. I went to Al-'Abbaas b. 'Abdul-Muttalib." He said: "While I was at his house, I looked at the Ka'bah. The sun came out, when a young man came until he was close to the Ka'bah. Then he raised his head toward the sky and faced the Ka'bah while standing. Then a youth came and stood on his right. It did not take long before a woman came and stood behind them. Then the young man bowed. Then the youth and the woman bowed. Then the young man raised his head, and the youth and the woman raised their heads. Then the young man prostrated himself, and the youth and the woman prostrated themselves."

He said: "So I said: 'O 'Abbaas! Indeed, I see a great man." Then Al-'Abbaas(R) said: "A great matter. Do you know who this young man is?" I said: "No, I don't know." He said: "This is Muhammad b. 'Abdullah b. 'Abdul-Muttalib, my nephew. Do you know who this [woman] is?" I said: "I don't know." He said: "This is Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid, the wife of this nephew of mine. This nephew of mine who you see has reported to us that his Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and that He has ordered him to this religion that he is following. I swear by Allah that I do not know of anyone else on earth who is following this religion other than those three." 'Afeef said: "I wanted to be the fourth one of them."

And the Messenger of Allah(S) used to honor her and cherish her. And he used not to disagree with her before he received revelation. Then he used to remember her a lot after her death, and he didn't get tired of praising her, until 'Aishah(R), the Mother of the Believers, got jealous, and said to the Prophet(S): "Verily, Allah has given you better than that old woman." The Prophet(S) became angry and said: "No, by Allah, I swear that Allah has never given me better than her. She was the wife who believed in me when everyone else disbelieved in me. She affirmed my truthfulness when everyone else accused me of lying. She supported me with her money when everyone else deprived me. And Allah provided me with children through her when no other woman has given me chilren." In fact, the Prophet(S) became so angry at what I said until his forehead trembled. So I said to myself: "O Allah, if the Messenger of Allah(S)'s anger abates, I will never again say anything like I said."

And 'Aishah(R) also said: "I was never jealous of any of the other wives of the Prophet(S) like I was jealous of Khadeejah(R). And I have not seen her, but the Prophet(S) used to remember her a lot. Sometimes, he would sacrifice a sheep, then cut its limbs and send them to Khadeejah(R)'s friends. So sometimes, I said to him: "It is as if there were no other woman in the world other than Khadeejah(R)." So he would say: "How can I forget her? She also gave me children most loving." 'Aishah(R) also said: "The Messenger of Allah(S) almost used not to leave the house before he would mention Khadeejah and praise her.

Khadeejah(R), the Mother of the Believers, died helping the Messenger of Allah(S) in conveying the call to Islam. She died three years before the migration to Madeenah at the age of sixty five. The Prophet(S) then buried her with his own hands. Her death was a great misfortune for the Prophet(S).

Our noble brother Abul Haarith, may Allaah reward him for his efforts concerning the Da'wah and Islaam (Ameen), posted the following on his blog which I will post. Visit his blog and feel free to comment and post.

http://abulhaarith.wordpress.com/2008/12/30/an-advice-concerning-the-ghazzah-situation/

An advice concerning the Ghazzah situation:

Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah said:

((And for those from amongst the Believers in a land where they are weak or in a time in which they have weakness, then they should work by the verses of Patience and absolution and forgiveness about those whom have warred against Allaah and His Messenger from those who have been given the Book and the polytheists.

As for the People of Strength, then they should work by the verses of fighting the Leaders of the Disbelief, those who insult the Religion and the verses of fighting those who have been given the Book until they pay the Jizya and they are lowly ))

- As-Saarim al-Maslool/ page 221

I advise my brothers and sisters to make Du’aa to Allaah. For we should not underestimate the power of Du’aa.

Do not undermine the Power of Du’aa.

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: دعاء مخ العبادة

((Du’aa is the essence of worship))

So do not belittle those who call to making Du’aa in times of such hardship. And be mindful of your speech and of our brothers and sisters in Ghazzah. Make Du’aa whilst Allaah has allowed you to do so. Rather than spend your time shouting on the streets, correct yourself and call upon Allaah for who was it that removed the harm which befell Ayoub عليه السلام? Who was it that freed Yunus عليه السلام from the belly of the whale due to Du’aa? Who was it that opened the way for the three men who were stuck in the cave due to their Du’aa?

In these days the callers and speakers who pose as scholars have started to speak with evil speech. They have begun to ascribe Hypocrisy to the rulers and to the Scholars for not picking up arms and fighting Israel. They have begun to ridicule the Muslims while claiming that they support the Muslims. These are people who call to the methodology of destruction.

They sit in their homes comfortably but their speech is transmitted all over the world. When asked why do they not fight, they say that they are not able to at the moment. When it is said to them “Then perhaps the rulers of Islaam think in the same way, they are not able to in the moment” they get angry and call the rulers hypocrites and traitors.

When it is said to them “But we are weak. Where is our military strength? The richest of our nations has one of the weakest armies in the world. ” they huff and puff and say “What about the Battle of Badr?” When it is said to them, “Is our Deen and Eemaan like that of the Sahaabah?” they become angry.

Allaah said:

وَأَعِدُّواْ لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ

((And prepare against them what you are able from strength))

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said as reported in Saheeh Muslim:

ألاَ إنَّ القوَّةَ الرَّميُ، ألاَ إنَّ القوَّةَ الرَّميُ

((Verily Strength is Military capability, Verily Strength is Military capability))

(رمي literally means firing or shooting)

The first thing they run to is fighting upon the battle field but these same people have not established the pillars of Islaam upon the Muslimeen. There are those who called to supporting the ones who curse Umm al Mu’mineen ‘Aa’ishah رضي الله عنها due to their fighting with Israel. This is the state of the Ummah and we expect victory from this?

And we do not speak about the innocent ones from amongst the people of Palestine, however I call upon my brothers and sisters to not support those who brought this harm upon our brothers and sisters. Truly Hamas has brought harm upon them by fighting fromwithin the residents of the Muslims. They have taken posts amongst the civilians and continue to fire rockets from the populous! After knowing the reaction and transgression and evil from Israel they continue to bring about harm upon our brothers and sisters.

There is a principle mentioned by the Fuqahaa:

((Prevention of Harm takes Precedence over bringing about good))

So tell me… is a Wal-Mart rocket attack going to override 100 tons of bombs? The Fat boy Atomic bomb that was dropped in Hiroshima resulted in a 15 Kiloton explosion. By todays standards that’s a really small bomb. So remind me again… a wal-mart rocket is military strength?

When there are massive groups of Muslims making Istighaatha with the graves and the dead then this is the Eemaan of the People who fought at Badr that you want in your fight against the Oppressors??

And to add to this, I ask the brothers and sisters to put aside their emotions and to think according to the Sunnah. Let the Sharee’ah rule your thoughts, not your emotions. We feel for our brothers and sisters in Ghazzah and we make Du’aa for them and we strive to help them and aid them. But we do not go into transgression in our assitance. It is not upon us to call for Jihaad. This is not upon the Layman Muslims. And I’m not speaking about the Palestinians I am speaking about the Muslims in General. Jihaad is not called to by the Layman.

We do not have to disobey the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم and label the ‘Ulemaa as Munaafiq (Hypocrites) whilst Allaah has said that those who fear Him the most are the Ulemaa!

We do not have to curse the rulers and call to “removing” and “replacing” them when the Sunnah shows clear prohibition of this!

Look at yourselves and your own actions and families. O brothers, you are the rulers in your own homes. And do you rule by the Rule of Allaah? If you cannot answer yes to that question in sincerity and honesty then withhold your tongue from speaking about the rulers when it is not your right. Do not be an aider to the Shaytaan. Be mindful of your tongues. Be mindful of your actions.

Do not forget Du’aa for our brothers and sisters all over the world.

So before commenting if you choose to do so, be mindful and do not accuse me of supporting Israel when I condemn their actions and oppose them and I ask Allaah to deal with them. Do not accuse me of hating or not feeling for our brothers and sisters in Palestine as I ask Allaah to rectify them and have mercy upon them and aid them in their struggles.

May Allaah rectify this Ummah and grant victory to the oppressed from Ahlus Sunnah.

On the Gaza situation
(Please read and post to others)

All perfect praise is for Allaah The Lord of All that exists, and may His blessings and good mention be upon the best of His Prophets and Messengers; our Prophet Muhammad, and also his family and his companions and those who follow them upon good; upto the Last Day.

To Proceed:

The Permanent Committee for Islaamic Research and Verdicts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has followed – with all sorrow and pain- what has occurred, and is still going on against our Muslim brethren in Palestine – and specifically in Gaza. That which is [actions] of oppression, and killing of children, and women and old people! And [it is] transgression on that which is sacred [innocent], and the destruction of infrastructure and institutions, and the terrorizing of innocent people. And there is no doubt that this is a crime and oppression on the rights of the Palestinian nation.

And at this sorrowful event; it is an obligation on the Muslims to be with their Palestinian brethren, and to help and aid them, and to make an effort to lift the oppression against them – through any means which is of their reach – so as to actualize the Islamic bond, and the ties of 'Eeman.

Allaah The Exalted said:

"The believers are indeed brothers [in Islâmic religion]." (Al-Hujuraat: 10)

And He The Most Mighty, The Most Majestic said:

"The believers, men and women, are Auliyâ' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another…" (At-Tawba : 71)

And The Prophet (sallahAllaahu alayhi wasallam) said :

"The believer to another believer is like the structure [like a wall] ; each part strengthens the other,' and then he co-enjoined his fingers." (Agreed upon)

And he (may Allaah's blessings and good mention be upon him) also said:

"The example of the believers in their relationship, and their love, and their having mercy upon each other ; is like the example of one body part to the rest of the body; if one part is affected then the whole body complains of fever and pain." (Agreed upon)

And he (may Allaah's blessings and good mention be upon him) also said:

"The Muslim is the brother of another Muslim; he does not oppress him, nor does he deceive him, nor does he give him up to the enemy, nor does he look down on him." (Narrated by Muslim)

And help comprises of many things –according to the ability, and depending on the situations – whether it is intellectually or physical [things], or whether it is from the general Muslims through wealth, and food, and medicine, and clothing, and other things. Or whether it is from the Islamic Arab nations through making it easy and possible that the aid reaches them, and by taking a sincere position in regards to their [the Palestinian Muslims] matter, and by supporting their case in the gatherings, and seminars, and the international conferences: And all of these are from the ways of co-operation upon good and piety – which is something that is ordered- in the statement of The Exalted :

"Help you one another in virtue, righteousness and piety…" (Al-Maaida : 2)

And also from those ways is: to direct sincere advice to them [the Muslims in Palestine], and to direct them to that which is of good and of benefit to them. And from the greatest of those is to make du'aa for them -at all times – so that their tribulation is lifted, and their affliction is raised, and that their situation is rectified, and that their statements and actions become good.

Upon this, we also advise our Muslim brethren in Palestine to have fear of Allaah – The Exalted- and to return to Him, just as we advise them to be united; upon the truth, and to leave off divisions and splitting up, and not to give a chance to the enemy – who has taken advantage of it – and will continue to use it in enmity and oppression.

And we also encourage and emphasize our brethren to take the causes which will lead to lifting the oppression directed at their land – while having complete sincerity to Allaah The Exalted – in [those and all other] actions, and to seek His pleasure, and to seek His assistance – through righteous actions, and prayers, and consulting the scholars and people of wisdom; in all their matters – indeed that is a way of being facilitated [to that which is good] and establishment.

Just as we call on to the intellectuals in the world and the international meetings; to have an open look at this catastrophe – with a look of insight, intellect, and equality – so that the Palestinian community can be given its rights. And so that the oppression be lifted from it: such that they live in a honourable life. And at the same time we thank all -the nations and individuals- who have initiated in aiding and helping them.

We ask Allaah by His Beautiful Names and His Lofty Attributes; that He lifts the despair on this Ummah, and that He strengthens its religion, and to raise its statement, and to aid His allies, and to disgrace His enemies -and to return back their plots against themselves- and to save the Muslims from their evil, Indeed He is the Patron, and the One who is Most Able of all that. And may His blessings and good mention be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and also his family and his companions and those who follow them upon good; upto the Last Day.

His eminence; the grand mufti of Saudi Arabia,

President of the Council of Senior Scholars,

Shaykh 'Abdul-'Azeez Ibn 'Abdullaah Aal ash-Shaykh.

Member of Permanent Committee for Islaamic Research and Verdicts .
